DESCRIPTION:Community Event to Promote Mental Wellness and Suicide Prevention \n\nIn response to the growing mental health crisis\, Healthy Franklin County and the Mental Health Association of Franklin/Fulton Counties are proud to present the Carnival of Care: Embracing Mental Health\, a free community event focused on mental wellness and suicide prevention. The event will take place on Saturday\, September 13\, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Waynesboro Area YMCA. \n\nBreakout Sessions & Activities \n\nAttendees can participate in a variety of interactive sessions and wellness activities\, including: \n\n\n	\n	Depression treatment options (TMS\, 988)  \n	\n	\n	Affirmation meditation  \n	\n	\n	Chair yoga & breathing techniques  \n	\n	\n	Stress management & self-soothing  \n	\n	\n	Employment resources  \n	\n	\n	Pediatric behavioral health  \n	\n	\n	Mental health services overview  \n	\n	\n	VA S.A.V.E. training  \n	\n	\n	K-9 demonstration by Waynesboro Police  \n	\n	\n	Creative arts & crafts and more \n	\n	\n	Family-Friendly Fun \n\n	The YMCA gym will host movement-based activities for children\, including: \n	\n	\n	The Wild Walk Portable Sensory Path  \n	\n	\n	Balloon-making\, face-painting and stilts walker \n	\n	\n	Vendor booths with giveaways \n\n	\n\n	Fat Russ' food truck will serve breakfast 8-10:30 then lunch until 1pm (for purchase).
